Trying to explain my asexuality to my hardcore Christian cousins is so difficult. I just find it so insensitive that they simply wink and say,

"Oh, you'll find him one day."

That's so unfair.

That's like me saying, "You just might decide you wanted to have sex with a raccoon one day! You might meet the right one while taking out the trash and that little black mask might knock your socks off."

It makes me feel alienated. I feel like they don't value my decisions and feelings as an equal adult. I'm about to be 24 years old. A young adult sure, but I pay my own insurance, buy my ow

Humans are extremely genetically diverse. It is not surprising that a female would find another female attractive, but not a male. It is also not surprising for a human to have NO attraction whatsoever. It doesn't mean they lack hormones, or that they can't be stimulated. It just means that they aren't attracted, and usually not interested in sex.
